These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Fyltre Ltd (“Fyltre,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), a company registered in England and Wales. By accessing or using the Fyltre application and related services (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What Fyltre does
Fyltre is an AI-powered unified inbox that connects your email and messaging accounts (Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Teams) to provide intelligent summaries, priority triage, draft replies, and daily briefings. We access your communication platforms via OAuth integrations — we never ask for or store your passwords.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at security@fyltre.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behaviour.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, except where permitted by applicable law
- Use the Service to send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited communications
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent
- Use automated means to access the Service beyond the intended API and integrations
AI-generated content
Fyltre uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, classifications, priority scores, and draft replies. You acknowledge that:
- AI output is assistive, not authoritative. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before sending or acting on it.
- No guarantee of accuracy. AI-generated summaries and drafts may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. Fyltre is not liable for decisions made based on AI output.
- Your data is not used for training. Content processed by our AI partners (currently OpenAI) is never used to train their models. See our privacy policy for details.
Subscriptions & billing
- Free plan — limited features, no payment required.
- Paid plans — billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
- Free trial — new accounts receive a 7-day free trial of Pro features. You will not be charged unless you actively subscribe after the trial ends.
- Cancellation — you may cancel at any time from Settings. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time.
- Price changes— we will give at least 30 days’ notice before changing prices. Existing subscriptions will honour their current price until the next renewal.
Intellectual property
- Our IP — the Service, its design, code, branding, and documentation are owned by Fyltre Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets.
- Your content — you retain full ownership of your emails, messages, and any content processed through the Service. We claim no ownership over your data.
- AI-generated outputs — summaries, drafts, and classifications generated by the Service for you are yours to use as you wish.
Data & privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Service, you agree to the data practices described in that policy.
For details on our security practices and subprocessors, see our Security page and Subprocessor list.
Third-party integrations
The Service connects to third-party platforms (Google, Microsoft, Slack) via their official APIs. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms. Fyltre is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.
You may disconnect any integration at any time from Settings. Disconnecting revokes our access and deletes associated tokens immediately.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of planned downtime.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- Fyltre shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Termination
- By you — you may delete your account at any time from Settings. This permanently removes all your data, revokes OAuth access, and cancels your subscription.
- By us — we may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable. In the event of termination for cause, no refund is due.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
